Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative movement disorder which can cause deterioration of motor skills, balance, speech and sensory function. The mission of Rock Steady Boxing is to empower people with Parkinson’s disease to fight back. Rock Steady Boxing gives people with Parkinson’s disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing based fitness curriculum. No matter if you are recently diagnosed or have been fighting the battle for years, there are benefits for everyone! Boxers are also encouraged to bring their cornersman, that special person that supports you on your journey.

As of August 1st, 2024, Atypical forms of Parkinson’s included within the program are as follows:

  • Corticobasilar Ganglionic Degeneration (CBD)
  • Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP)
  • Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB)
  • Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA)
